Service School Schedule

• Sep. 14 - Oct. 9, 1st and 2nd year
• Apr. 11 - May 6, 1st and 2nd year
• 3rd and 4th year students will continue to attend classes in Seattle, with LU #66

OSHA Class

• OSHA CLASS-None scheduled at this time

Meetings

• Union meetings are now the last Wednesday of the month
• JATC meetings are now the third Tuesday of the month

Continuing Education

Journeyman up-grade classes such as Mathematics, Hoisting and Rigging, and Foreman Training are scheduled as needed.
December 12,13,14 D 9.1 & D 1.3 Welding Certification: A three-night class on the basics of GMAW welding with an emphasis on the D9.1 and D1.3 Sheet Metal certification. All participants will be given a chance to receive a weld certification. If you only want one certification, just attend two nights. Max of 6 people.
January 14 & 16 Auto CAD: A two night class on the basics of computer drafting. A basic understanding of Auto CAD can help with reading plans and using plasma tables. Max of 6 people.
February 14 SMACNA: Who hasn’t heard the phrase: “We do it that way because of SMACNA standards!” Is that really what the SMACNA Standards say?
February 21 Understanding your CBA and Constitution: Learn how to read your constitution and CBA to better understand your role as an employee and a Union Member.
March 14 & 15 TIG Welding: A two night class on the basics of GTAW welding with an emphasis on Stainless Steel. All participants will be given a chance to use finishing grinders and learn the art of re-graining metal. Max of 6 people.
April 11 Rack Refrigeration: A Service Technician orientated upgrade class on Rack system operation and troubleshooting.
May 9 Bluebeam: Learn the basics of this construction software for better communication on the jobsite and project management.
May 15 – 17 Fire Life Safety Level 1: Receive your level 1 certification for fire damper installation and maintenance. This is becoming a requirement in many areas outside. This is a three-night class.
